Day 2 – Not all that goes “wrong” is bad
Because Anna (aka Barefoot) likes to stop so many times, after a long and hard day over the mountains, we arrived at the albergue (pilgrim hostel) to find out that the very new and impressive areas were completely full and beds were only available in the old complex. We were disappointed because everyone raves about how good the new complex is. Well the surprise wasn´t bad. We were shown into a huge medieval like hall that housed about 100 bunk beds. It was beautiful and felt like we had stepped back 600 years. Lights out and doors locked at 10pm.. It was surreal sleeping in a room with 100 other people. It felt like what I imagine sleeping in the great halls of castles would have been like. The blessings just keep flowing.
