Well I’m all packed and ready to step out the front door early in the morning to walk, train, tube, train, plane, bus and train my way to St Jean Pied de Port, France, the starting point of my Camino de Santiago.
I’ve got to admit, I’ve got the last minute jitters. My head is saying ‘what the heck are you doing’ but my heart is saying ‘just take the first step and the rest will follow’.

ps: after reading on a forum a pilgrim’s tale of his terrible blisters through wet feet caused by rain running down his legs into his shoes, I’ve squeezed in my waterproof over trousers. I figure God would want me to have a little foresight to go with my faith.
